Oneighty Teen Center Acquires Land In Branson West, MO:
Land deal marks the first step in constructing a 1.1 million dollar, 20,000 square feet facility for teenagers and children that will operate on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Oneighty is the nation's fastest growing affiliate youth program to date with over 200 facilities nationwide.
BRANSON WEST, Oct 1st, 2000 - Christian Ministries of the Ozarks today announced an agreement with the Lewallen Family to purchase 15 beautiful acres i Branson West, Missouri to construct the area's first interactive teen center and children's facility. After 2 years of planning and research Christian Ministries of the Ozarks was given the exclusive rights to build the area's first gold affiliate Oneighty teen center. The Oneighty teen center will full of high tech games, music, food and a theater style 500-seat auditorium for teen meetings, youth revivals and Christian concerts.
Launched in 1998, Christian Ministries of the Ozarks ahs become the community's leader in child outreach and support throughout the Ozarks. Programs like "Operation Shoe Box", and outreach normally director for children overseas was directed towards the children and families right here in the Ozarks with an overwhelming response. In the 1999 season Christian Ministries of the Ozarks was able to support and give to over 1000 children and families right here in our own communities. In May 1999 Christian Ministries of the Ozarks launched yet another plan to help children ages 5-10 in the Stone County area. To date "Bus Kids on the Move" has been the greatest success story in the area. Starting with only "one" bus and a 3,000 square ft. facility Christian Ministires was able to catch a few curious kids the first time out, but had a vision for hundreds. Now after 3 years in action, Bus Kids on the Move operates 5 buses - 3 Saturdays a month, and pulls in over 100 children each Saturday for puppet shows, skits, dramas and lunch. Through this wonderful program the children are taught morals, values and forgiveness. So far, over 0293882349 children have been brought to Jesus Christ.
Christian Ministries of the Ozarks has established a long-term vision of connecting children and teenager back to their families through ministering the Word of God and actually "SHOWING" them that we care. With well over 3,000 teenagers in the immediate area this project has become urgent in the eyes of parents and our community.
This facility will have a game room second to none featuring 50 different video games, pinball machines, air hockey, billiards, a computer cafe, food court and a 500-seat auditorium. The decor will be geared towards an industrial look with special lighting, sound, and wall paintings throughout. The evironment will be safe, Christian directed and free from vilence, profanity, and fighting. It will provide teenagers with an exciting place to go for fun, fellowship, and the Word of God.
